The need for Faith

Some of us call ourselves Christians; some of us take pride in having that title to describe ourselves while others use this just as an identity for themselves in society: having somewhere to belong to.

But the true foundation of Christianity, is faith in the Lord. A true Christian follows the Lord because he/she believes that Jesus Christ is alive in heaven, and believes that He came to earth once and died for our sins. He/she believes in the almighty power of the Lord and His authority that makes everything possible, with no question.

But some people, although they claim their faith, fail to PRACTICE that faith. Allow me to explain:

Some people present themselves as faithful and believing people before the world, and talk about their great faith so much that they even deceive themselves, by believing that they have unfailing faith.

But the true measure of faith is not how much one talks about it. The true measure of faith is whether or not one LIVES that faith of which they talk. A person can brag as much as they want about having great faith, but if a situation comes where their faith is put to the ultimate test, and they cannot hold on to that faith, then all that talk is for no reason.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”  (James Chapter 1, Verse 6)

If you ever want to achieve anything from God, you must have faith!

I named my blog “PURE FAITH” for a reason, if you never knew: it is the very thing lacking in 99% of people today, sadly, including Christians! I want to bring this beautiful faith back to man and woman.

“He that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed”, says the word of God. If your faith is not steadfast, meaning if your faith is like a weed in the wind, swaying to and fro with no determined purpose, then you will be like “a wave of the sea driven with the wind”. That means you will be vulnerable to the prey (the devil) and your path will be determined by the “wind”, or the other forces of evil. The devil will be able to take you where he wants you to go, all because of your lack of faith.

You must learn to HAVE that faith which makes every high mountain seem easy to climb.

You must learn to USE that faith which makes you face every danger with courage, no matter how impossibly fatal they may be.

You must learn to LOVE that faith that makes you jump off your boat to walk on the water with the Lord.

God bless all of you, and till we meet again, why don’t we all PRACTICE our faith in our everyday lives? Let us live with the peace and trust that our Lord will forever be with us.
