New Year: Thankful Reflections

With 2016 just a few hours away, I sit down to reflect upon everything that happened in 2015. Resolutions are not a tradition with me, because resolving to do something at the beginning of a year usually ends up with me having too many other responsibilities interfering.

I prefer to take time to be thankful for everything the past year has brought into my life. I believe this is a very positive way to see the new year – being thankful to God and to those around you for everything good in your life, and then also thinking about all the bad that happened in the past year, being thankful for all the lessons you learned from them.

In 2015, I matured. I learned to say no to certain things and to certain people – both of which would hinder my progress. Saying no is painful, but in certain situations it has to be done for the better good of everyone.

In 2015, I made new friends. I said hello to a new family in my new workplace and academic environment.

In 2015 I laughed to my heart’s desire. I also cried buckets’ worth of tears in secret. Memories were made.

In 2015, my heart was broken by the crushing of some dreams I had, despite how selfless I thought they were. I chose not to ask God why, because He certainly had His reasons.

In 2015, I learned to rejoice in the failures I brought upon myself in life. I learned that perfection is not humanly possible, but yet perfection is what we should try our best to obtain so that we may realize the best of ourselves. No one is perfect but God.

In 2015, my faith was renewed. I have a seed of new hope inside my heart. In a world that is fast entering a dark phase of evil and wickedness, my heart has found hope in the promise of Jesus Christ and the eternal life of peacefulness He grants His followers. I have learned to put faith in nothing else but in Him and that promise of His. This helps me fight through the challenges of life with the right perspective.

I have learned to truly love people, both friends and enemies. Before, I knew that God wanted us to forgive our enemies, but I did not know how. I would say “I forgive them” but would also keep remembering the pain and hurt that people brought to me and my family. I would keep holding onto memories of the loss and struggles we faced as a result. But now my memories are cleansed of all that.

Now my life is filled with new purpose, to the point where I have no more time to brood upon the negativity of the past. I now truly forgive everyone of the past and have forgotten every wrongdoing done towards me. I also hope with all my heart that God has forgiven me of my wrongs as well, and for this I pray every single day.

I hope that in 2016 I will be of more use for God and for the advancement of His kingdom. I will continue to pray for God to use me according to His will, and that no matter what challenges or pain I have to face because of that, I will rejoice regardless, given that He sees me worthy of that.

No evil, no sorrow, no loss, not even the devil himself can take away my happiness that I have found in the one, true love of my life – JESUS CHRIST. I truly believe He will protect me and my family until we have fulfilled our mission, and He will never abandon us.

I pray that you are also able to forget the loss and pain of the past, and that you are able to find new purpose and strength in the Lord. May the good God Almighty bless this coming new year, and grant us all the strength and willpower to face the good AND the bad.

Let us all take a moment to be thankful for all the blessings God has brought into our lives.

Love you all, my dear readers! ♥

ARE we capable of sin? – A Discussion

Now this is an issue that many a time I have had to discuss with several of my Christian friends. The question is this: is a born again person capable of sin? Or rather, is it even possible for any man born as a human to NOT sin, regardless of whether or not they are saved? Let us take a deeper look into this and use the Word of God as our reference point.

A verse from the Romans chapter 3 states:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” (Romans 3:23-24)

This verse very clearly states that ALL man has sinned. Of course we are all born of the flesh as humans, and the human being is a creation that has fallen short of the glory of 5131172-3x2-340x227God. Starting with Adam and Eve, sin entered our lives and our mankind, so it is impossible to say that any of us can be sinless.

However, Jesus Christ is the only one in the world Who was sinless, and thus He became the ultimate sacrifice for our redemption. When the most pure and innocent blood was shed as propitiation for sin, it covered the sin of the entire mankind from the beginning to the end, and thus our debts were all settled with God. The only thing He asked in return was our faith in this work He had done on the cross for us.

So this being the story of true redemption, what will become of that man who has accepted Jesus into his heart as His savior and has been born again? Is it viable for God to expect that man to never sin again in his life? Some people think no. Some people have told me that based on the previously stated verse, no matter what, the life of every human involves sin because of the fact that no one can be perfect like God, and hence no one can be perfectly sinless like God.

But what if I told you otherwise? Would you hate me or call me a liar? Again let us turn to the scripture.

“Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.” (1 John 3:6)

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:8,9)

So as stated in these verses, sin is the seed of the devil, and committing sin is a sign that you are not of God. “But every man has sinned according to that verse in Romans. Does that mean that every human is a child of the devil? Is that a fair way of judgement?”

Well let me tell you. These are two different things, being born into a sinful world as a sinner, and actually committing sin. These verses in 1 John are talking about how a person who has truly been saved and born again is not capable of WILLINGLY committing sin. Committing sin is an action taken by a person. You can choose to do it or you can choose not to do it. And if you have truly accepted Jesus as your Savior, and if you have truly been born again, then you must be fresh and new as a newborn baby, and you will never be capable of choosing sin after having experienced the true love of the Jesus who died on the cross for your sake. However, if you claim to have been born again, and still continue in your sins, then it is high time for you to reconsider your life, and to really sit down and pray to God to help you let go of the dirty past life and become truly born again.

But by saying all this, I am in no way implying that we can be completely sinless in life. How? Well sometimes even a truly born again person may fall short because of their feelings towards something or they may be caught in a situation where they unknowingly make the wrong choice or think the wrong thing, but a true born again believer will always realize their weakness and ask God to forgive them again.

Constant cleansing of the heart and soul through prayer is the only way we can all remain pure and holy as God wants us to. None of us are perfect. We are all born into a world full of darkness and sin, a world that tortured and crucified our Lord the purest lamb that was given as sacrifice. And yet , God gives us the chance to become holy once again, and to be counted worthy of entering heaven, by allowing us the choice to believe in the sacrifice of Jesus. It is then OUR turn to choose whether or not to sin.

Choosing Jesus over sin is your ultimate key to a life of true peace and happiness, enveloped in the love of the Lord regardless of the pain and hurt of this world.

Let GO of YOURSELF

Hi dear readers, I apologize for not being able to post as regularly as I used to but I am trying my best. To all my new followers, thank you for your time and welcome to this blog dedicated to Jesus Christ and the spread of the true Gospel.

I have always pledged to make you think deeper or at least remind you of certain things necessary to improving our lives in the eyes of God. Today I would like to talk to you about your life and how to let go of it. Yes, it’s about time you let go of your whole life.

First of all, let me ask you something: what is the meaning of the word “Christian”? The first use of it was in Antioch:

“And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26)

A “Christian” is someone who follows Christ. Jesus Christ is the Master of a Christian, and the person is a disciple, following his master everywhere, learning His teachings, doing what He does and trying every day to grow more to be like his Master.

A true disciple, however, does not leave his master and go his own way when he wants to. Jesus’ disciples were always with Him, and they left all that they were doing when Jesus came to call them. Peter left his fishing net, James and John left their father’s boat. This means they left their old lives just to be with their Master.

THIS is what a true Christian should do. Peter wanted to fish, but Jesus said “I will make you fishers of men”. Jesus Christ had other plans for him.

Time to leave your worldly nets

Time to leave your worldly nets

When you are a Christian, (if you truly wish to establish a relationship with your Lord) you HAVE to let go of your fishing nets sometimes.

You cannot hold on to the nets that you cast into the waters to get yourself food and money. Once you have dedicated your life to Jesus Christ you have to let go of the net that was built to benefit you. You sacrifice your worldly comforts. You give zero value to it.

You instead take up the net Jesus wants you to take up. A net to catch men. A net to catch souls and bring them to the Kingdom of God. THAT IS the purpose in life of a true Christian.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:13-14)

We are not born to live after the flesh. Remember, God created us from dirt. Our flesh is dirt. SO the needs of our flesh are temporary, and whatever achievements we made for sandhand1the benefit of our flesh will be worthless in the eyes of God in the end. Money, fame, food, health, happiness, comfort – NONE of these are achievements. These are temporary and will die with you in the grave. But your SPIRIT is what goes on to live for another eternity, and an eternity is quite a long time – it NEVER ENDS!
” if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Give no value to your bodily needs. This earth is your temporary home, my child. The time you spend here is so short and worthless.

What matters most is what works you will have to show God on the final day when your time is over and the Master asks for your harvest. You do not want to be empty-handed when that day comes.

Nowadays, so many people think that the word “Christian” is a common term for anyone who goes to church. They think being born into a Christian family qualifies you.

Well I am here to tell you that you are NOT a real Christian and have NO RIGHT before the eyes of God to use that term for yourself unless you are willing to sacrifice all you have for His name and for His glory, and you give Jesus Christ full control of your life. Let Him decide what your life should be lived for.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)

Your birth by blood, or flesh or even the will of man does not qualify you. You have to be born of God. You have to let Him control the path of your life in order to fulfill your duties as His child on this earth. If you love Him, it will be completely easy to let go.

People around you will question you and isolate you, but remember this: Jesus suffered a million times more pain for you, so if you love Him, be ready to face everything that comes your way when you decide to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

The Shield of Faith

Good morning, and a warm welcome back to all my dear readers today! I have by God’s grace been doing alright, and I hope you have as well.

Today, let us return to our discussion of the Armor of God.

4. THE SHIELD OF FAITH

As we read before in Ephesians, Chapter 6, verse 14-17,

16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”pt196_fierydarts-cropped

This, my friends, is what I have been waiting for. My favorite part of the Armor, the shield of faith!

Our faith in God alone can save us in any time of distress or need. We all know what a shield does for a soldier at battle. The shield is like a part of the armor that he can manipulate to protect different parts of his body according to the enemy’s attack.

A soldier’s shield moves according to how his hand moves, as it is his hand that holds his shield. If we all carry a shield of faith, it is our necessity to carry it and hold it up with all our might, no matter what, in order to protect ourselves so we may  fight further.

shield-of-faithI hope you understand that what I am trying to say is that our faith is our responsibility. Hold it up all the time, meaning don’t lose your faith. The enemy may try to separate you from your shield using his swords and spears, but only if we hold on to it so tight will we be able to protect ourselves. Our faith in God should be strong enough so that no matter who or what comes in our way, we will never let go of that shield.

Having strong faith protects us because God can only protect you if you believe and trust that He can. If you have read my earlier posts, then I trust you remember how I once talked of how our fear makes us vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. If you would like to read that post once again, please CLICK HERE.

Why should we, the soldiers of the army of the almighty and powerful Heavenly Father, fear at all? Hold on to your faith, my dear fellow soldiers, because it is our duty to fight for our God.

As long as you don’t let go of your shield, the enemy can never touch you. But in order to be completely protected from the enemy, we need ALL the parts of the armor. That is precisely why I am continuing this subject and looking at each part of the armor one by one in detail.

Only if we know exactly what each part of the armor does and what it is comprised of, will we be able to do some soul-searching to see if we lack any of the parts of this armor.

Don’t forget that the enemy is looking for every chance to attack you, and you may not even know it; therefore, always be fully prepared for anything. Therefore, my friends, keepArmorOfGod-1_49213259_std your armor intact every second of every day, not letting the enemy touch you. Check your armor when you get the chance, looking to see if you’ve accidentally taken off the belt of truth or your shoes of peace.

I urge my readers to do some serious soul-searching every day, whenever you can find the time. Check yourself to see where you lack in the eyes of God, and try your best to live up to the expectations your Heavenly Father has of you.

This battle is not an easy one. It is one that requires great courage, spirit and loyalty to our Father. This battle is one that tests every one of our abilities. This battle is a test of our faith, courage and desire and striving to succeed. This battle tests our patience to hold on till the very end. This battle tests who we are and where we stand in accordance with God.

All I can say as a fellow soldier, is that we are in this together, and that God is with us no matter what. Feel free to e-mail me whenever you’d like, if you’d like to talk about your personal experiences in this spiritual warfare so far. I’d be glad to hear from you and discuss with you about such matters, and we can all morally support each other in this war with the devil. Here’s my e-mail: steny8295@yahoo.in

I’ll see you next time, and in the meanwhile may God bless you and may the peace of Christ be with you!

True Love

Hello, my dearest readers! I hope that you have all by God’s grace been well, and so have I.

As you may have noticed, today we are taking a detour from our line of thought which was the armor of God.

Today I feel the urge to emphasize one four letter word – “LOVE”

We all use that word in our lives daily – to express our love for the people we like, the food we enjoy and the beauty that touches us. We use it so much that most of us have started to forget what it truly means to love someone.

There are so many types of love that can develop between humans, including love crossheartlogo1between man and woman, father and son, mother and child, brother and sister, grandparents and grandchildren, love between friends, etc. But I’m very sad today to see that the love that people carry in hearts is reducing day by day.

We as a society have started forgetting what it means to love one another. Sure, people still do love each other, or take care of each other and all that, but what happens afterwards? I mean, what happens in the long run?

Has love today become limited to the affection one feels for just a short period of time and then just disappears? Why does love not last longer today?

Why do the children that once did their best just to show their parents their drawings and stories, grow up to suddenly become “independent” and just forget about their mom and Father-and-sondad? When did this teenage need of “privacy” and “space” come into the lives of those loving parents’ kids, who till yesterday seemed to need them for everything and anything?

Why has the concept of friendship been degraded today? There used to be a time when poets wrote about friendship as the most beautiful relationship ever- describing how a true friend would be understanding and caring and make sacrifices for their friend. But what has become of this true friendship today? Why is it that friends nowadays only care about each other if they are “cool enough”?

Instead of opening up your heart to your friend, and talking about your worries and Forgiven jesus%20forgiveshardships, and listening to your friend’s as well, and supporting each other, why is it that your conversations are limited to the newest movies and latest fashion trends?

Why is it that couples don’t stay together longer? Does marriage have no meaning whatsoever nowadays? Why do people treat their partners like clothing or accessories, which can be changed or thrown away as time goes by? Why do couples have to separate when they have to face the slightest disagreement or the smallest obstacle, instead of trying to work as a team to solve things? Marriage is a Godly relationship, and it should be seen with equal importance. Why don’t people have the patience to accept each others’ faults and to work at it instead of spontaneously leaving each other to cry in solitude?

Why, why, why WHY??????

I don’t like this. Let me be honest with everyone –  I don’t like this lack of love one bit.

But I should say I have an answer to my own question -WHY THE LACK OF LOVE?

Well, who do you think gave us love first and foremost? Ever read this verse:?

1 John 4:8 “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”God-is-Love

Yes, my dear friend, God is love. If God is love, and love is decreasing from our society today, then how would you equate that? If most people among us don’t carry love in heart, that means most people among us don’t have God in heart, because only someone who knows God can love completely.

God is the greatest form of love you can ever know, and that is evident in how He gave up His only Son as sacrifice for us all. Would you give your son up to death for the sake of your friend? For the sake of your partner? For the sake of anyone? No, no one can. But rsz_jesus_on_the_cross_john_3-16_God did, because His heart is greater, and He carries such a love that you and I can never even imagine of. His love is like the vast universe, with no beginning or end –  only bigger!

Even though we can never have as much love as God, if we know Him and love Him, then we will be capable of loving the ones around us, spreading love like a beautiful scent that comforts and makes people feel like they’re never alone. We must obey our Master’s teaching to love even our foes.

Love everyone around you like your own friend, even if they hate you, because our love is what proves that we are the children of our Heavenly Father. Love the ones that hate you, betray you, lie to you, degrade you, torture you, and spread rumors about you. Love them all, my friend, for that is what God did.

We will certainly discuss more about this in later posts, but for now I must stop. I hope you will leave comments and let me know what your opinions are about this topic.

Till next time, my dearest readers, may the love and peace of Christ be with you, and may God bless you!!

You can e-mail me for any questions or concerns, or if you’d just like a friend to talk to. I’d be glad to hear your story, and offer my moral support as your friend in Christ: steny8295@yahoo.in

Take care!

Your Shoes of Peace

Greetings my dear readers!! Welcome back! This is our first post for the year of 2013, so may I start off by saying thank you once again for all your support, and may I take a moment to thank the Almighty God for His kind grace on this blog.. for giving me the right words and the right topics to write about.. for giving me the inspiration to write..

I hope you all had a nice New Years!

Now, onto the subject of thought – the Armor of God. We discussed the importance of the Belt of truth and the Breastplate of righteousness. Now if you remember the verse: (Ephesians, chapter 6 verses 14-17)

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

3. THE SHOES OF PREPARATION FOR THE GOSPEL OF PEACE

You feet must be shod with the “preparation of the gospel of peace” which means that you must stand ready as ever to spread the message of peace among the world.

The shoe is what protects your feet when you charge towards the enemy. Without a good caaog3shoespair of shoes, your feet would suffer from the stones and thorns of this world, and no matter how energetic you are, you wouldn’t be able to fight as well because you cannot move as you feet are injured.

This means that you must be prepared to accept as well as spread the gospel of peace. You see, if you do not  show enthusiasm for Christ’s message of peace, then how would you be able to stand and fight strong in this war?

Another question that may arise in your hearts may be “How does a soldier at war benefit from the gospel of peace if they’re trying to defeat the enemy?”

Well, the peace of Christ is what helps a child of God endure through everything. You must keep in mind that this war is not physical, but spiritual, and therefore, it is an ongoing war.. it happens everyday, whether you notice it or not.

soldier for GodEveryday, when you face hardships, feel sad, become unable to be your best for God, these are all times when the devil is trying his best to attack you and discourage you.. but no, in those hard times, like I always say, pray. Pray to God, and find strength in Him.

Once the peace of Christ overcomes your heart, then no matter how many trials and tribulations the devil brings in your life, you will be able to withstand it all, because the practice of Christ’s peace is what shoes your feet, and as long as you keep those shoes on, no matter how many thorns or stones you have to step on, they won’t affect you and you will be able to fight strong.

Spread this gospel of peace, be prepared to share it with the world every single day. Prepare your feet to carry this gospel of peace enthusiastically, and prepare yourself to fight the enemy that is vainly trying to stop you.

Don’t hesitate to e-mail me if you have questions: steny8295@yahoo.in

God bless you till next time!! 🙂

The Story of True Children of God

Warmest greetings, my dearest readers! I am glad that I am able to write in this blog and I

find it an honor to serve my experience of God as a means of assuring your faith!

Today, as I was reading through the Bible, I found some very defining verses th

at all add up together to tell the story of a true Christian.

Romans Chapter 9 verse 8:

8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Mark Chapter 13 verse 13:

13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Luke Chapter 21 verse 12:

12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.

13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Philippians Chapter 4 verse 6:

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Romans Chapter 8 verse 38:

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The life of a true Christian is not easy. It never will be. The very Son of God Himself was tortured mercilessly and killed by His own creation of humans. He suffered unimaginably at the hands of ungrateful beings, and was punished for no reason.

If this is what Jesus Christ Himself went through, then you would imagine that we His disciples must have to face even more. No. We the Children of God, no matter how bad we think our sufferings to be, do not suffer even one-thousandth of what our beloved Savior had to go through.

A person who loves God more than anything in life will not consider his sufferings worth worrying over. He will just blindly follow his Master wherever He goes. That’s what I want to be. That’s the kind of faith that God loves to see.

My dear friends, our love for God must be unconditional. Do not think of things in terms of loving Him only if He does this and does that for you. Don’t ever even think of telling God that you will “have to stop loving” Him if He doesn’t do something for you in life. No. Did God ever put any condition upon us humans when He gave up the life of His only begotten Son? Did He say that He will give His Son for the sake of our Salvation only if we do something in return? NO.

I admire Peter the Apostle. He never asked any questions, and loved his Master more than his own life. He followed His Master in the middle of the sea. True, for a second, his fear caused him to lose faith and fall into the waters, but because he had gone to Jesus Christ abandoning all his friends and not thinking of consequences, he was saved by Christ.
True, Peter betrayed Jesus Christ, but he repented in tears and broke down and cried. He was forgiven and he went on to be blessed abundantly by God and to heal many in the name of his Master.

We are not without flaws. Everyone has something that they ought to repent for. But that doesn’t mean that God doesn’t understand us. He knows exactly who we are and what we are doing. If you are in a situation where you have been doing something wrong unknowingly, and you don’t realize it’s wrong, so you continue, then God will understand that and make a way for your eyes to be opened and for you to realize your wrongs.

But if you have been provided with more than enough chances to repent and you still haven’t changed your ways, then that is absolutely your fault. Repent the first chance you get. You may not get another.

That ties back into the story of a man I used to know. He had a tumor in his head and he was nearing death. My father prayed for him and he was instantly healed and the tumor disappeared! But after a while, he started sinning horribly and he thought no one knew about it. But God was seeing everything.

He never got another chance to repent. Unfortunately he died a few months later, this man who had been healed so wonderfully and had been so healthy, from cancer.

Why do you have to sin after God has touched your lives? How can you even think of sin when you know for sure in your heart that God’s great kindness is the only reason you are healthy and living?

As I said, no one is perfect. That’s why we must always be striving to identify our own faults and correct ourselves, for that is the only way to heaven.

I hope you will all consider this and keep up in your faith, for the next time we meet, I will have a nice story to tell you.

I would like to also share with my dear readers, my YouTube channel. I write poems for Christ all the time, and I have uploaded a few of those poems in the form of videos. You can also find my father’s preaching videos. Please do come and visit. Here’s the link to my channel:

Who is worthy of Jesus Christ?

My warmest greetings, dear readers! I hope that you are all doing well by God’s grace and I am too. Today I would like to talk to you all about being a disciple of Jesus Christ.
The disciples of Christ were the first ones to ever be called “Christians”. Here’s a verse

The loyal disciples of Christ..

The loyal disciples of Christ..

from Acts, Chapter 11, verse 26:

26And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

The disciples of Jesus were probably the most loyal disciples ever to be. We read of how they loved their Master more than anything else in the world, and we read of how they started following Him with no question or complaints, but rather they saw it as a privilege to be under this great Master.

But nowadays, a huge majority of people out there call themselves “Christians”. I find it hard to believe that all of these people love Jesus more than their own lives. There are many people out there that call themselves Christians, and of course, they attend church every Sunday, and loyally attend all the functions of the church and things like that, but they do all of this, not for their love of Christ, but for their love of the church.

They love the attention and friendship and new companionship they can gain from church. They like being a part of something. They want an identity in society. Sadly, (now this is not everyone, just some) some just want to show off their new dress and their new car. They want to be part of the biggest, most famous church sometimes, just for the fame of the name of the church.

Now this may not be the case of everybody out there. But still, there is sadly a large majority of Christians out there that don’t care the least about Christ. And this breaks my heart to see these people go about calling themselves “Christians” when the name was coined in the first place for the loyal and loving disciples of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ Himself has told in the Bible of who exactly is worthy of being His disciples:

Mathew, Chapter 10, Verses 37-39

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Now when I first read this verse, I was very young – about 9 years old, and I was at a Gospel Meeting where my father was preaching, and I remember thinking in heart, that if Jesus Christ disapproves of my love for my parents, then I should stop loving them. I laugh 9b_child_1_500x493_772kat heart every time I remember this.

Even as a child, I always made sure I put God first, as my parents had always taught me. So when I read this, I thought I should stop loving my parents. But I had been mistaken. Later on in the meeting my father himself clarified this subject.

Now, when Jesus said that he that loves his parents or children more than Jesus is not worthy of Him, he didn’t mean to say that we should just hate our parents and children for the sake of becoming His disciple. He meant that we must give Christ first priority in life.

This means a lot of things, and you prove this great love for Christ in many ways in life.

If your parents, friends, children or relatives stand in your way to getting closer to God, then those people are not worthy of your love. You should never do something against the will of God just to please the people around you. If you agree to smoke just for the sake of your friendship, then you’re placing that friend before God in life, and you’re proving you

Don't let anyone stand in your way of following Jesus

Don’t let anyone stand in your way of following Jesus

care more about your worldly friends than about your God.
It is very reasonable that we must love God more than anything in life, because He is ever forgiving and kind and provides us with everything we need. He sacrificed His own Son to save us, a group of wretched, sinful, ungrateful humans. And what more than our loyal love would God ask of? It is a love that any child owes his father, rather, it is the love that any child would be happy and more than willing to give his father.

Now, coming back to the subject of being worthy of Jesus Christ, the second part says, “And He that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.” Now what does this mean?
The cross symbolizes the great hardships in life. The cross is the object that brings upon it’s victim shame, humiliation, suffering, torture, and cruelty. The Bible says that Christians will be ill-treated around the world. True Christians will have to face several hardships

The cross symbolizes suffering

The cross symbolizes suffering

throughout life, and they will not be accepted in society. They will be hated by the world. They will have to face great trials and tribulations in life.

At these times, dear friends, do not lose faith, but rather utilize these hard times to grow closer to God and to increase your hope. See it as a test of your own faith. You claim you’ll be loyal and forever grateful to God and love Him more than anything, no matter what. So then next time you face hardships in life, think of it as a test of your faith, as I said earlier. Prove yourself to God during those times.

But anyways, the cross thus symbolizes hardships in life. And those that do not take their cross and follow Jesus are not worthy of Him. To read more closely, those that do not take their cross don’t deserve to be with Jesus Christ. What does “taking” mean here?
It means that you must accept and suffer the hardships in life that are brought upon you because you chose to accept Christ. You must be willing to face even life-threatening situations if it’s for the sake of Christ or for the glory of God.

Those who are not willing to “take” this cross in life do not deserve to be with Jesus. In

Are you willing to follow Jesus Christ with your cross?

Are you willing to follow Jesus Christ with your cross?

other words, those who are not willing to share the hardships Christ faced in life, are not worthy of being called His disciples.

Also you must take this cross and follow Jesus Christ. You can’t just go wherever you want after having carried the cross. You must go where Jesus Christ went.

Christ walked up the mountain upon which He was to be killed, but after this death, He was to rise to new and everlasting life.

The same with us. We must follow Christ in His path. We will not have to die anymore for our sins, because Christ did that for us, but we may have to face many harsh treatments and hardships like Christ did, but in the end, we will be following Him to everlasting life.

We will discuss the last part of the verse in the next post, as unfortunately time limits my writing for now. But I do want to tell you one thing before I leave for the day: evaluate yourself. You and I need to do this more than anything in the world.

We are human beings no matter what, and sometimes we may have forgotten of God and His great love for us. So it is our job to check ourselves and make sure we are still loyal disciples of Christ and make sure we are following Him with our cross, rather than complaining about the hardships we have to face because of the fact that we are Christians.

Alternate Life??

Hello and a hearty welcome once again to all of my wonderful and faithful readers out there! My heart is always filled with love and excitement when I write to you of My God and my dear Savior Christ!

Today let’s pick up on where we left off last time about the subject of fear. In the last post we talked about the fear that eats away at people which is the fear of evil or danger- this is in a way the forbidden fear as the fearful will be denied entrance to heaven as we read in the Book of Revelations.

So now let us take a look at the second kind of fear- the fear of God. Now that is the fear that I would give anything to see in every man on earth, but something that alas is gone from the hearts of most humans today. So the one question remains: Why fear our own Father Who helps and saves us?

That is probably a question that non-Christians would ask. That’s just because they don’t understand the depths of the relationship we have with our God.

When we say that we fear our God, we don’t mean to imply that we are scared to death of Him and have nightmares every night. NO. Our fear is one of admiration and love and respect and reverence. To fear God means to realize and accept that our God is powerful to smite us if He wants but He doesn’t do that as long as we walk in His righteous path because He loves us that much and He wants only for our own good.

Only a loving father will punish his child when he goes astray, correct?

Our fear for God is one that is rooted in as I said again, love and reverence. Without this we are nothing.

Deuteronomy 6:1-2

King James Version (KJV)

6 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:

That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

Now let us change our path of thought to something new. For quite a few posts I have been explaining some of the Ten Commandments. Now let us take a detour for a bit and then come back to the Commandments.

You must have been confused by the title of my post. But this is what I want to introduce to you today. Alternate life.

Now have you heard of the concept of UFO’s? Wait.. I ask you to not judge quickly and leave thinking that I’m fooling around.. which I am NOT. I have never, am not presently and will never in the future publish gibberish or pointless subjects in this blog nor will I ever write out lies to the world for my God would punish me heavily for that.

Now back to the subject. Most of this world is now acquainted with the idea of a possibility of life apart from earthly life. And most of us have heard of claims of many people saying that they have seen UFO’s or seen actual aliens. So one day we started wondering as to what exactly these aliens are.

And we came to a conclusion. Which I shall explain in my next post. But for the time being I want you to ask yourself what your personal opinion is about aliens.

I’m sorry but for now I have to go. I wish for nothing more than to spend all my time writing out to all of you out there in the world thirsting for the true word of God and longing to know the true God. But due to the restraints of life I cannot. But stay tuned for my next post where I’ll introduce my personal views on this subject and concept of aliens. I’ll just be stating my opinions, that’s all.

God bless you abundantly, my dearest readers and children in Christ! 🙂

Fear not.. please..

Hello and welcome once again my dearest readers! I’m so happy about this blog as the number of readers I’m getting is on a constant rise now! Thank you so much Lord!

Today let’s think of something I never mentioned that I would talk of in my previous post- FEAR

This is something dominating the hearts of almost every human being on earth today. Fear. Oh, how I despise that word! That four-letter word is the manifestation of a feeling that could cost us our eternal future if we are not careful.

What exactly is fear? Why do we have it? What things do we fear? Which of these should we actually not fear? What is wrong with fearing something?

Our basic questions in place, let us start our venture into the roots of fear. So what is fear?

I looked up the meaning in the online dictionary I mentioned in my last post (and I should say this dictionary is a great resource for anyone- click here to visit). I got several interpretations for it, but I shall mention some of the most important and basic ones:

1. A distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, etc.

2. Reverential awe (esp. towards God)

So these are basically the two meanings I think we should consider as the others are just different forms of these two meanings. So the first meaning is the common fear that everybody has in this world. “A distressing emotion aroused by impending danger or evil.” Let me say that this is the fear that God hates. Yes, He HATES fear of evil. , especially when He finds that  His children are torturing themselves with this fear.

If you have read the Holy Bible before, you will find so many instances where you hear this: “Fear Not, for I am with you.” or just simply  “Fear not.” Now have you thought why God would say this so many times?

We as the children of God, have nothing to fear but God Himself – this ties into the second meaning of fear, which we’ll discuss in a bit – because God is the only one who has a power over our lives if we believe so. A true child of God has no need to fear things like evil or death or injury or danger. Those are things that will never be able to affect us if we are on the righteous path before God and if we trust and believe in Christ our Lord.

Psalm 27:1

The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid?

1 Chronicles 28:20

David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
Read through these verses and see why God dislikes your fear of evil. Why should we fear something that God will never allow to afflict our lives? Being a child of God and at the same time being paranoid about every single thing that you feel may hurt you is similar to a child holding hands with his parents while crossing the road and still yelling and screaming of fear of the cars that lay stopped on either side. They have NO and I mean ABSOLUTELY NO POWER OVER YOU. When God is holding your hands, why fear the powers surrounding you?
A father always makes sure the cars stop before taking you to the other side of the road, doesn’t he? Well let me tell you this- ourFather is countless times stronger- no, He is

Trust Him- He’ll take you there safe..

infinitely powerful and almighty that He will destroy the powers surrounding you for your sake. When you have such a beautiful father at hand and if you are holding His hands along the way, then why fear?

He will take you to the other side safe. You will be safe and happy with Him on the other side as long as you don’t let go of His grasp. We all will be. The trouble with us is that we try to get out of His hold to go after the many distractions on the way. Please don’t do that for your own sake.
Now read his verse also:

Revelation 21:8

King James Version (KJV)

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Now, read over that once more, please. Who exactly is at the top of the list?

“The Fearful”. Yes, the fearful are the first group to burn in fire.

Why would the fearful burn in the fire of hell? Because they don’t trust and believe in God. Yes. A little fear once in a while is acceptable. But those who fear every single thing in life and even betray their Savior for their own sake, fearing evil forces may attack them- these people are going straight somewhere unpleasant. But what about Peter then? There’s a difference. He cried out and repented right after betraying Jesus. Now would you repent if you betrayed you Savior? Would you even feel guilt in heart? Just think of it.

When you believe that nothing in the world can stop you, then nothing in the world can. When you believe that God will be with you no matter what, then He will be there, believe me. But if you believe that the devil has the upper hand on you, then trust me, he will have the upper hand on you.

Luke 7:50 “And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”

In the next post, we’ll wrap up the idea of fear and we’ll begin on a new subject that I know you will all be curious to know of.
